AiGrid2D is a tool to generate structured grids in 2D. AiGrid2D was designed to meet demands typically for turbomachinery but will do well on various other applications.

Basic meshing idea
The grid is generated by fully parameterised geometrical operations and smoothed by an elliptical solver. The geometrical construction is conducted by scripting in a language derived from c++.
The scripts are composed within the AiGrid2D GUI, that offers hierarchical source management and syntax highlighting. On request the AiGrid2D GUI saves the scripting pool as xml, calls the grid building procedure (dll for windows) and reloads the mesh for visual control.
